This development is anticipated to serve the needs of Kerala\u2019s substantial Gulf diaspora, as well as of business and leisure travelers, and further enhance connectivity to international and regional hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-key-aspects\"><strong>Key Aspects<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Service frequencies almost <strong>daily from<\/strong> <strong>Thiruvananthapuram<\/strong> to <strong>Kuwait<\/strong> commencing in September 2025.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better connectivity to the large <strong>Middle Eastern Kerala\u2019s expatriate community.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional opportunities for <strong>business<\/strong>, <strong>academic<\/strong>, and <strong>recreational<\/strong> <strong>travel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This gives the opportunity to enhance international links through Kuwait to other countries of <strong>Europe<\/strong>, and the <strong>United<\/strong> <strong>States<\/strong>, and the <strong>African<\/strong> <strong>continent<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-legal-framework\"><strong>Legal Framework<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The increase takes place following the signing of a new <strong>bi-lateral air services agreement<\/strong> this July 2025, which raised the weekly seat entitlement between India and <strong>Kuwait to 18,000 seats.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The capacity increase is the first in almost two decades and mirrors the <strong>demand for flights on Gulf routes.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flight operations remain subject to <strong>India&#8217;s DGCA and to Kuwait&#8217;s civil aviation regulations<\/strong> for safety and operational compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This step marks an important development in India and Kuwait relations. Kuwait Airways\u2019 decision to scale up operations from Thiruvananthapuram not only strengthened aviation ties with India by development for Kerala\u2019s aviation sector but strengthened cultural ties. In addition to addressing passenger demand but also deepening aviation, trade, and cultural ties between India and Kuwait.
