The Indian government has asked airlines like Air India and IndiGo to run extra flights to Kathmandu so that stranded passengers can travel. At the same time, airlines have been told not to overcharge people for tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-key-aspects\"><strong>Key Aspects<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Deployment of Extra Flights:<\/strong> Air India has scheduled special flights to Kathmandu on September 10 and 11.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Clearing Backlog<\/strong>: IndiGo is also adding capacity to clear the backlog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Restoration of Services: <\/strong>Operations resumed 11-12 sept, flights between India and Kathmandu will go back to their regular schedule. This will bring back stable and reliable air connectivity after the temporary disruptions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Passenger Support:<\/strong> Air India Express is helping passengers by giving two options: either a full refund or a free change of travel date for tickets booked until September 17.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fare Control: <\/strong>At the same time, the government has told airlines not to hike ticket prices, so that passengers can still afford flights during the travel crisis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By working closely with airlines, the government made sure stranded passengers could return safely. At the same time, it built public trust in the aviation sector by proving it is responsive, reliable, and focused on passenger needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Indian government required airlines to run extra flights and allow easy ticket changes\/refunds.
