Course Overview

Airport Ground Staff Training

As the Indian economy booms, so do the infrastructure requirements related to airports, railways, roads, and water transport. The number of airports, which stood at 74 in 2014, has increased to 148 in 2023 and is expected to go up to 250 by 2030. As such, there is huge demand for airport ground staff and airline crews to cover manpower shortages. In many cases, the airport ground staff requirement has gone up rapidly.

The ground staff is placed at the airport at checking counters, for baggage handling, at the information counter, at the hospitality services at the airport, and at the ticket counter.

For the same, to get selected for the ground staff position in any airline, you need to complete a certification course, understand the needs of customers, expectations from airport authorities and airlines, and be a bridge between them. The certification course takes a time period of 6 months. After completion of the course, the students are ready to be placed at airlines at information counters, reservation counters, inward and outward checks, and luggage disbursement.
