The Ministry of Civil Aviation has stepped in to ensure smooth travel between India and Nepal after disruptions at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport left many passengers stranded.
The Indian Government always acts swiftly during any such issues making sure their citizens are safe. The Indian government has asked airlines like Air India and IndiGo to run extra flights to Kathmandu so that stranded passengers can travel. At the same time, airlines have been told not to overcharge people for tickets.
By working closely with airlines, the government made sure stranded passengers could return safely. At the same time, it built public trust in the aviation sector by proving it is responsive, reliable, and focused on passenger needs.
The Indian government required airlines to run extra flights and allow easy ticket changes/refunds. This shows that India is taking a proactive, forward-looking approach in handling aviation crises.
