The Ministry of Civil Aviation has formally launched Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025, its flagship program. The program was initiated to enhance passenger experience at Indian airports.
Inaugurated by Civil Aviation Minister Shri Rammohan Naidu at Hindon Airport Ghaziabad, the scheme undertakes airport service enhancement, passenger convenience, and employment inclusions for air travel.
Focused on women travelers under the Swastha Nari program, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, as well as first-time flyers and digitization possibilities, the program portrays the Indian vision toward crafting a world-class aviation ecosystem.
Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025, launched on 17th September across the country, instilled a sense of shift in the emerging “Passenger First” aviation policy of India. This initiative enhances airport infrastructure, improves digital services, and fosters passenger comfort to provide the much-needed public image for the sector. It signals a transformation of air transport in India into one that is inclusive and affordable and thereby put India onto the world map as a passenger-first aviation state.
