There was a special moment for Vijayawada International Airport with the inauguration of Udan Yatri Café by Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri K. Rammohan Naidu. This facility is one of the government-supported offerings to keep service standards affordable, quality-based, and passenger-friendly in Indian airports.
The Udan Yatri Café stands in keeping with its aims to allow the common traveler to have a refreshment break at affordable prices. With tea costing just ₹10 and snacks from only ₹20, this café stands as the embodiment of the vision of the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme that seeks to make air travel affordable and inclusive for all.

Enhancing Passenger Comfort at Vijayawada Airport
During the inauguration, the minister and other officials unveiled the café menu and dispensed perhaps for the fly. Thus officially starting a people-oriented initiative. The café would be for the thousands of travelers who throng the airport daily, providing a clean, low-priced, and comfortable dining experience.

Along with inaugurating the café, the minister said that within the next two to three months, the new terminal building at Vijayawada International Airport would be ready. Moreover, at this occasion, tree plantation imparted a strong feeling of commitment to sustainable and green aviation practices.
