The Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu’s department of civil aviation conducted its monthly meeting for the review of airlines on the 10th of October, 2025. The participation of the leading airlines, high-ranking officials, and the most important stakeholders in aviation was to evaluate the operational performance, the safety standards and the passenger experience throughout the festive travel season, which is very busy at that time of the year.
• The reports on performance and safety compliance were presented by the leading airlines: Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air, Alliance Air and Fly91.
• The Minister stressed the importance of following aviation safety measures as well as the standards of passenger service.
• The airlines were asked to keep their airfares reasonable during the festive season. The monitoring of fare trends will be done actively by the DGCA’s Tariff Monitoring Unit.
• The carriers pledged to allocate more capacity to the busy routes so as to meet the increased travel demand.
• The revamped AirSewa portal will deliver quicker and more open grievance redressal for passenger complaints.
• The airlines were prompted to bring in the Swachhta vision, proposing the sustainable and clean airport and inflight environments, as part of their operations.
This review is indicative of the government’s firm intention to promote air travel that is safe, affordable, and efficient. As a result of the tighter fare monitoring, enhanced safety measures, and better passenger services, the aviation sector in India is preparing to make the Christmas travel experience smoother for millions of travelers.
